The Jenius Bank Pickleball World Championships are a full-blown sports festival. As a volunteer, I get to see the operational flow firsthand. If you're making a trip to Brookhaven Country Club this week, thinking about attending future PPA Tour or MLP events or for those early planning to attend this event next year, here is my Spectator's Guide to navigating the venue and catching the best action.

The true heart of this sport is its inclusivity. These events are a must-see: Wheelchair World Doubles Championships: I saw great play at the Wheelchair Hybrid Doubles World Championships. This premier event showcases the sport's spirit and was running on the indoor courts alongside the Collegiate World Championship brackets. Amateur Play Takeover: The vast majority of courts are running amateur play which feels like they are happening 24/7. Head to the outer courts to see the energy of the community and local talent competing (with brackets beginning on Monday).

🏟️ Venue Hacks: Best Sightlines

The venue is massive. Here is how to maximize your time at Brookhaven: The Main Show: The Nature's Sunshine Championship Court and the Carvana Grandstand Court have the top-tier pro action. Championship Court has an extended grandstand that creates fun excitement with fellow pickleball fans but my favourite spot to get up close to both elite play and amazing access is with the Grandstand Court situated right beside Championship Court — there you can catch the best matches with the future stars of the game.

The Festival Hub (#PickleballBLVD): This "closed street" is your destination for food, sponsor activations, and even a concert series. It gets packed mid-day. Visit early (before 11 AM) or late (after 4 PM) to avoid peak lines for the best experience. Getting There: General parking is complimentary at the nearby Dallas College Brookhaven Campus, with continuous shuttle service running to the club.

🌟 Tonight's Must-See: Celebrity Showdown

If you are in Dallas tonight (Wednesday, November 5), don’t miss the Celebrity Pickleball Showdown. This fun pickleball exhibition returns featuring NBA legend Dirk Nowitzki, joined by NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens, World Series champion J.D. Martinez, and streaming star Tfue (I'll admit, I had to ask my son who he was) all playing along side star players from the PPA Tour. It all benefits the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation.

Remember that outside drinks/meals are not permitted, but bags, water, and snacks are allowed. Pack a reusable water bottle and plan to grab your major meals on-site at the many options inside PickleballBLVD.
